Obagi is a global specialty pharmaceutical company founded by leading skin care experts in 1988. Its products are designed to help minimize the appearance of premature skin aging, skin damage, hyperpigmentation, acne, and sun damage.  

Historically, Obagi Medical has made prescription-only products, available through dermatologists, cosmetic surgeons, medical spas, and other skin care professionals. This high-quality model created market-defining results and sterling customer satisfaction, earning Obagi its visionary reputation. For much of the company’s history, the model also generated great profits. 

Within the last 10 years, though, things have change. Obagi saw its status challenged, as numerous competitors with new business models enter the market. Of those models, direct distribution to consumers through digital channels posed the biggest threat. Obagi understood that it would need to adopt and adapt to these challenges, shoring up sales and growing market share. 

In 2020, we would transform Obagi into an e-commerce titan, one which again defined the standard of cosmeceutical consumer interaction.
